Page Five: “All The Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge” 1/06/13
That’s what happens when we realize that the Son of God right now knows us. He’s omniscient and it brings us to the truth about ourselves.
Honestly, could you in quiet conversation with the LORD say to Him “LORD, you know all things; You know that I love you”? You see the future is no where near as important as the present. Practically speaking, knowing where you’ll be five months from now is nothing compared to being aware that the LORD fully knows you right this very moment. He knows whether or not you want Him to instill His wisdom into your life. Folks, the LORD fully knows all there is to know. But, if that’s true, and it is; doesn’t He know you inside and out? Doesn’t He know your attitudes and your plans and your fears and your worries? Doesn’t He understand you? Doesn’t the LORD Jesus fully see into your heart and mind? First, just like He knew Peter’s heart, He knows your heart. Second, He cares. Of all the challenges people have to face in this world; this might be the greatest. He may know everything, but does the LORD care about me? Does He care for me? Does He understand and is He ready and able to help me in my plight? Folks, the entire Bible is full of people and their plights. A plight is a condition, a state, or situation, especially an unfavorable one. And you and I; we have our plights, don’t we? But Hallelujah! The LORD knows. And even greater; He cares. Job 23:10 “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” He Knoweth The Way O Lord, Thou are my King, and who am I to question Thy way? Whatever the loss, whatever the cost, draw me closer to Thee every day. O Lord, Thou art my life, and who am I to understand why? You died on a tree for a sinner like me, Lord to self make me willing to die. |
O Lord, Thou art my all, and who am I to walk without Thee?
My sin I forsake, Thy cross I will take, Thy servant dear Lord, make of me. He knoweth the way that I take; A new heart within He’ll create. That I may walk worthy and come forth as gold, He giveth and taketh away.” First, He knows your heart. Second, He cares personally for you. And third, He only wants what is right and best for you. Pastor John Piper puts it this way. “Therefore let us bow down and worship Jesus Christ. If we are impressed with the scholarship of man and the achievements of scientific knowledge, then let us not play the fool by trumpeting a tiny chirp and ignoring the thunder clap of omniscience. Jesus alone is worthy of our highest admiration. Jesus alone is worthy of our trust. He can show us the Father (Matthew 11:27). He can give us irresistible wisdom (Luke 21:15). He can see how to make all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28). None of his judgments about anything is ever mistaken (John 8:16). He teaches the way of God with infallible truthfulness (Matthew 22:16). Trust him. Admire him. Follow him.” [Found on www.desiringgod.org]. Will you surrender to Him today? Will you commit today and tomorrow and all of your future to Him? If all wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Jesus Christ, wouldn’t it be well-worth your time and energy to seek to discover that wisdom and knowledge? Now, in preparation for the LORD’s Table, I want to remind you that today is the Day in which you are being called to Full Surrender of your heart and life to the LORD. Will you right here today pray this prayer of surrender? If not, why not? Christ has made a way for you to both be saved and to be sanctified. Here’s the Prayer of Surrender. As you begin this New Year of 2013, choose Christ and let Him be your Wisdom. Shall we pray? |
