And those outside the body of Christ need God’s wisdom.
Now, why should Believers walk in wisdom towards those who are Unbelievers? Because Believers are walking in the light while those outside of Christ are walking by their own light. Because many if not most of those you know who are not Believers won’t read the Bible, but they will read you. Wisdom in your life is the book they will read. They will see your life being transformed by the Holy Spirit and, as Jesus said, see your good works and glorify your Father Which is in Heaven. You, the child of God, are the wise person because you have a relationship with your Creator now that you know Christ. A wise person is someone who is saved. A wise person is someone who realizes that he is responsible for all that he does with his life. A wise person has Christ living in him. (I Corinthians 1:30) “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:…” A wise person personally knows the wisest Person to ever walk the earth. Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” A wise person is someone who is learning how to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (12) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;…” A wise person is someone who is seeking wisdom from God Himself. James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” A wise person resists temptation, defeats the devil, behaves wisely, abides in Christ, and so much more. So, Christian, walk in wisdom towards them that are without. |
First, your personal prayer life is central to your success in this world.
Second, gratitude is an essential part of prayer. Third, God has called you to pray for others. And fourth, live in wisdom before the world. In conclusion, then, how are you going to live this coming week? Are you going to abide in God’s word or will you insist on your ways above God’s ways? Jesus came into this world to save us from both the penalty and the power of sin. Jesus died for your sins. Have you repented and believed on Him? If not, why not? Here’s the simple Gospel message. Jesus died for your sins. At the cross He paid the entire penalty for your sins. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Do you believe that? Acts 20:21 “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” Here’s the salvation prayer. You certainly can pray it right where you sit this morning. I know that I am a sinner and in need of your forgiveness. I believe you gave your Son, the LORD Jesus, to die on the Cross for my sins. Right now I repent of my sins. I believe that Christ died for me. I want to be saved today. Thank you. Christian, look to the Holy Spirit to enable you to obey Him. He will provide you with the power to obey. And for you who are already Christians, here’s the prayer of submission. Pray this prayer of surrender each day this week. Make it yours. Pray it throughout the day. “LORD, right now I submit all that I am and have to you; my spirit, my soul, my body, my time, possessions. Do with me whatever is the most pleasing to You. Work out Your blessed will upon me today. Amen.” Shall we pray? |
